Heres Lookin' At You, KidA Casablanca Film Review

Casablanca is considered one of the best films of all time, and after watching it, I know why. Symbolic lighting and shots, complimented by a wonderfully talented cast, make the plot all the better. Casablanca is a timeless film. It has no specific genre, but it's classification ranges from Action, to Suspense, to Mystery, then to Romance. I especially loved the ending, and how it wasn't a pretentious romanctic ending at all, like most other movies would have had. Humphrey Bogart plays the all american "badass" who doesn't bend over backwards, or "stick his neck out" for anyone. But that soon changes when he is reunited with the woman who broke his heart, Ilsa, played by the lovely Ingrid Bergman. Soon Bogart, who plays Rick, is involved in a love triangle, and has to make a decision; Do what is right and good for him, or do something that is morally correct. In my mind, it is no surprise that Casablanca is one of the most beloved films of all time.
